The Chambers of Commerce today are considered key influencers in education, strategic planning, town development and of course business growth. The community business role has never been more relevant in relation to Chambers of Commerce.
The Essex Chambers of Commerce comprises four individual town Chambers; Colchester, Chelmsford, Southend & more recently appointed, Basildon. 2006 saw the Colchester Chamber of Commerce celebrate its Centenary, marking 100 years of business support. Chelmsford and Southend having already both reached this milestone, mark Essex Chambers as one of the oldest and most successful support organisations in the County.
Business support includes networking events, international trade advice and documentation, business mentoring, work based learning apprenticeships and a whole range of cost effective members products. With a growing portfolio of benefits, the Essex Chambers are dedicated to servicing membership in their part of the Thames Gateway.
Paramount to the Essex Chamber and its members are developments in key areas across the County. Thames Gateway is one of the most momentous projects in the region and the Essex Chamber leads the way in full support of the proposal. Thames Gateway is North West Europe’s largest regeneration project and will result in a more efficient, better positioned area for investment in the UK.
The strength of the Chamber is its Members. Our development programme will be to support and encourage improvements in; education, transport infrastructure, international trade links and inward investment. These are all areas being incorporated into the Thames Gateway project.
The Essex Chambers of Commerce prides itself on its inter county communication and ability to disseminate information and strategies for business today. In short, it is our business to know your business.
