On 14 December 2010, Wychavon District Council has approved Worcester, Bosch Group proposals to relocate its head office and manufacturing facilities to a new site on Pershore Lane, near Tibberton.

Richard Soper, managing director, Worcester, Bosch Group, commented: “We are delighted. The decision secures the future of Worcester, Bosch Group in the Worcester area by giving us the opportunity to expand our facilities in line with UK market demand. During the planning process for the potential new site, we consulted widely and have constantly refined our plans in order to be sensitive to the needs of the local population and the environment.  We intend to continue this communication process as the project enters its next phase."

Mark Pearce, corporate director of economic regeneration at Advantage West Midlands, said: “Today’s decision is a great opportunity to boost the future economic fortunes of the area - and is the result of two years of hard work between AWM and project partners, including a full consultation with the local people. The highly skilled jobs,  training opportunities and supply chain benefits supported by this project will help to create legacy from which Worcester and the West Midlands will benefit in years to come.”.
