A new guide to help businesses in the South East find their way through the economic crisis was published by SEEDA, the South East England Development Agency, on 16 March 2009. Open for Business, A Guide to Business Support in the South East, offers businesses a simple guide to what is on offer to them through these difficult times from SEEDA and its regional partners
A new guide to help businesses in the South East find their way through the economic crisis was published by SEEDA, the South East England Development Agency, on 16 March 2009. Open for Business, A Guide to Business Support in the South East, offers businesses a simple guide to what is on offer to them through these difficult times from SEEDA and its regional partners.
SEEDA is working with Jobcentre Plus, the Learning and Skills Council and the Government’s 'Real Help for Businesses Now' scheme to provide help from accessing finance through to tackling redundancy. Many of these initiatives are available through Business Link, the SEEDA funded business support service, which also offers free business Health Checks.
Jeff Alexander, SEEDA Executive Director for Global Competitiveness, said: “SEEDA is now focusing its efforts on helping South East businesses through these extremely challenging times. This package of measures can make a real difference, and thousands of businesses have already taken advantage. I would strongly urge any business feeling the effects of the downturn to get in touch with Business Link to see what help is available.”
