Hello Northwest, the soft landing service offering free office space for new investors into the North West England region, is continuing to be popular with overseas companies. The fifteenth success was announced for the scheme on 11 November 2101 when India based Nevaeh Technology signed up for space on the Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, Daresbury SIC. Nevaeh Technology is a business consulting, technology and services company offering a range of value added products and services for Health Care & Medical Insurance, Manufacturing, Utilities and Government sector applications. Nevaeh’s products and services are developed and offered through four focused competencies which include: SAP/ERP applications, software services, managed services and IT enabled services.  Its software services, for example, include a Patient Records Management System (PRMS), which provides an aggregated patient level view across hospital chains and medical service providers, conforming to international standards.

The India Development Centre for Nevaeh operates from Kolkata, India, and will initially coordinate the UK operation with the aim of establishing an independent UK based team employing 15 -20 employees over the next three years. Initially, the main function of the UK operation will be to market Nevaeh services in the UK and Europe through tie ups/collaborations and partnerships with UK ICT companies with similar interests.

Prabir Dasgupta, Managing Director, Nevaeh Technology, explained how pleased the firm is to be located at Daresbury. He knows that the North West is a highly developed and mature market with, probably, over 5,000 ICT companies, many with strong product and service offerings. He also felt sure many of the companies in the North West could be interested in partnering with Nevaeh to create new opportunities and offerings for the UK/Europe and Indian markets.

Mark Hughes, Acting Chief Executive of the NWDA, said that the Daresbury Campus has been a huge success story for the NWDA and will become a lasting legacy of the Agency’s work in the region. The Hello Northwest scheme is helping to make the Campus even more popular and makes it easier for overseas investors to locate in the region. He added that the Northwest continues to be the best performing region outside of the South East for attracting Inward Investment projects and this scheme will help to maintain that high performance next year.

Since the launch of the Hello scheme in January this year, a total of 15 businesses have now successfully set up across the Northwest as part of the scheme. ‘Hello Northwest’, including ‘Hello Manchester’ and ‘Hello Liverpool’ offers investors free and flexible office space for the first year of their move to the region and helps those companies to link into the wider support networks across the region. The ‘Hello Northwest’, scheme, was developed in partnership between the NWDA and the investment agencies for Manchester and the Liverpool City Region, MIDAS and The Mersey Partnership, and leading serviced office providers - Avanta, Bruntwood, Orega, Manchester Science Parks, Liverpool Science Park and Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus.
